Ten people busted in prostitution sting

GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Officers with the Gastonia and Mount Holly Police Departments issued citations to 10 people during a three-day prostitution sting this week.

Myra Wyatt, 46, of Dallas; Brenda Tate, 38, of Gastonia; and Sandra Lee Cooper, 45, of Gastonia, were each charged with soliciting for prostitution and soliciting for crime against nature.

Elizabeth Pruitt, 42, of Kings Mountain, was charged with soliciting for prostitution.

Shonda Hagans, 27, of Bessemer City and Gastonia, was charged with soliciting for crime against nature, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rebecca Welder, 27, of Gastonia, was charged with loitering for prostitution.

Jamar Tyrone Thomas, 31, of Los Angeles, Calif., was charged with conspiring to violate Chapter 90 and simple possession of marijuana.

David Gilmore, 30, of Bessemer City, was charged with manufacturing cocaine; conspiring to violate Chapter 90; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance; and felony possession of cocaine.

William Lonnie Parker, 49, of Clover, S.C., was charged with soliciting for crime against nature.

Robin Sprouse, 40, of Gastonia, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
