CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It's a cold case of mistaken identity.
Three years ago, a man was shot and killed in front of plenty of witnesses, but no one is talking.
The Texaco on West Trade is brightly lit and always busy. But lights and witnesses did not stop a gunman from approaching 35 year old Clayton Berry, who was walking his bike home.
The gunman thought Berry was involved in a shooting at the same spot the night before. He pulled out a sawed-off shotgun, and shot Berry dead as he turned to get away.
Police did get a description of the shooter's car. Cops are looking for a 2002 or 2003 SUV with a bullet hole in it from the night before.
