41,000 pounds of Little Debbies spilled in wreck

TARBORO, NC (WBTV) - WRAL reported that a truck carrying packaged food wrecked in eastern NC, spilling 41,000 pounds of Little Debbie snack-cakes on the highway.

The TV station reported that the truck's front tire ran off the road, which caused the cab and trailer to flip over on Thursday afternoon.

The snack cakes and other food items were spread all over the highway on U.S. 64 West in Edgecombe County, WRAL reported.

The truck driver, who is from Texas, suffered a broken leg and some broken fingers, authorities said.

No charges will be filed, state troopers told WRAL.
