Man shot during north Charlotte home invasion

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police have identified a man who was shot during a home invasion in north Charlotte early Wednesday morning.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, two men who were armed with hand guns kicked in the door to a home along the 2000 block of Slater Springs Road just before 2 a.m. 

The suspects shot 26-year-old Corey Grier and threatened 21-year-old Chrystal Grier.

Grier suffered serious injuries and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.  He is listed in fair condition.

Police do not have a description of the suspects at this time.
