The Good News Is... Marine unit returns from Iraq

By Kristen Hampton - bio l email

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Anxious families waited all day for the bus to come rolling in. Finally, just after 4 p.m. the 16 men and women with the 4th Maintenance Battalion came home.

The marines walked slowly towards a line of comrades in uniform. But, when the group caught sight of their loved ones, they erupted in cheers and hugs.

The reserve unit has been in Iraq for 7 months. One marine told us the first thing he'll do when he gets home, is sit on his couch and relax.
