High School Football Game Ends in a Brawl

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A Charlotte high school football game ended in a brawl Friday night.  The game featured Concord First Assembly and Providence Day.

WBTV Sports Reporter Nate Wimberly tells us that on the final snap of the game between the two teams a pass from Providence Day's Price Litton was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Tyler Rhyne.

During the return there were a couple of questionable blocks in the back and Providence Day's Litton took exception and hit Rhyne in the back after he scored.

From there both teams began to fight, but it did not look like any punches were thrown by either teams.

First Assembly won the game 24-12 over Providence Day.

There will be some type of disciplinary action taken by both private schools come Monday.
