At this hour do you know where your children are? Do you know what they are doing?
Who they are hanging out with? If not...you should. It could mean a matter of life or death.
Recently, four teens broke into an elderly couple's home. Police say the boys tied them up, ransacked
their house and robbed the husband and wife at gunpoint.
After the suspects left, the husband went looking for them. He ended up shooting and killing a 15-year-old boy who, along with three others, allegedly broke into the house.
The sad part to this story is not just the death of a ninth grader. But that the parent didn't know her son was associating with two teenagers who had a criminal history.
That's right -- two of the four suspects had been arrested before. And one was even wearing an electronic ankle bracelet at the time of the break-in.
This story could have been different if the mom had known what her son was doing, who was influencing him, and had put a stop to it.
Now, a mother has to bury her son over a bad acquaintance and a bad decision. What a deadly consequence.
Begin today to know where your child is...who he or she is associating with...and by all means give them the love and direction that they must have.
It just might save their live...and save you much heartache.
