GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Gaston County pastor is accused of sexually assaulting a girl.
Keith Pettis is facing multiple felony sex offense charges including first-degree sex offense, statutory rape and indecent liberties with a child, according to the Gaston County Police Department.
The alleged victim was a 12-year-old girl and the assault occurred over a three-year period, authorities said. The alleged incidents started in August of 2006 and ended in March of this year, authorities said.
Pettis was arrested on Friday and posted a $50,000 bond.
Pettis is the minister at New Life Christian Center in Lowell. The church refused to speak with WBTV concerning the allegations.
