(WBTV) Charlotte, NC - Breaking in through the roof is a very common crime for police. They see it a lot.
But rarely do they see someone break-in through the roof of a grocery store only to get locked in until the next morning.
If this was burglar school, this guy would have flunked out.
The suspect wore a noticable outfit - a green and yellow rain suit from the University of Oregon. In his obvious getup, this guy broke in through the roof of the Harris Teeter. But once he broke in, he couldn't break back out.
And he had no idea what he was after. This guy found some keys, but no cash. He poked around the beer and wine, grabbed some smokes, then tried to get out the front sliding doors, but he was locked in.
Harris Teeter employees showed up around 4:30AM. They asked him what he was doing there. He said he was accidentally locked in the night before. And, then, he just walked out and disappeared.
