CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police have arrested a Charlotte woman in connection with the murder of a gang member.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested Kiera Thompson Friday morning.
She is charged with conspiracy and accessory in last week's murder of Palo Childress.
Childress was shot and killed August 10th in north Charlotte on Michigan Avenue.
The CMPD said the shooting was gang related and not a random act of violence.
Police also said Childress was a gang member and that he was shot by members of a rival gang.
Warren Avery and Marco Davis are charged with murder. A third man, Antonio Dade, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
All four of the suspects are being held in the Mecklenburg County jail.
