CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -- Did you hear the thunder in Center City this afternoon?
It wasn't the weather but a storm of race cars on Tryon Street.
A procession of speed was to draw attention to all the events coming up at Lowe's Motor Speedway and the zMax Dragstrip over the next 120 days.
Sprint Cup drivers Jeff Burton and David Reutimann along with dragster driver Doug Herbert and others let fans get an up close look at their machines today during the lunch hour.
"There's nowhere else you can go that there's a Cup race, a top fuel race, Nationwide race, Bandolero legends, they race everything out there, dirt cars, one of the biggest of the year, it's truly the biggest motorsports venue in the country," Burton said about Charlotte.
