IREDELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Two suspects that police said were importing "large amounts" of cocaine into the area were arrested on Wednesday in Iredell County.

The pair had nearly $100,000 worth of drugs hidden in a large Subway fountain drink cup and $10,000 in cash on them, police said.

Police said the investigation to arrest the men took nearly 6 weeks and that the men were from Hickory but were bringing cocaine to sell in Iredell County.

The suspects had 12 ounces of cocaine -- concealed in a Subway cup -- and $10,000 in cash on them. The street value of the cocaine was about $85,000, authorities said.

Police believe that the two suspects are in the country illegally and detectives are working with ICE. Both suspects are in the Iredell County Jail under a $300,000 bond, police said.

The suspects, identified as Jamie Martinez and Roberto Delpilar, were arrested Wednesday  in the parking lot of the B&B Quck Stop on Old Mountain Road. They were both charged with three counts of trafficking cocaine.
