Hundreds show up to audition for "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The game show, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," held auditions in Charlotte Monday morning for new contestants who want to be on the show.

The syndicated show held contestant auditions at the McGlohon Theatre located in center city Charlotte.

The auditions started with a timed test.  A "Millionaire" producer then interviewed those who passed.

Those who passed the morning test sessions were invited to return at a specific time in the afternoon for another interview.

The producer is considering those who auditioned for either the syndicated version of the show, hosted by Meredith Vieira, or the 10th anniversary edition, which Regis Philbin will host.
