Mint Hill police seek shooter

MINT HILL, NC (WBTV)- Police in Mint Hill are on the lookout for a man they say shot someone after an argument early Saturday.

They're looking for 31-year-old Tony Maurice Knox. Police say Knox and the victim engaged in a physical confrontation after an argument. Knox is accused of leaving the fight, only to return with a small firearm. That's when police say he shot the victim.

That victim's name hasn't been released, but he suffered from hand and leg injuries. He's already been released from Presbyterian Hospital.

Anyone with information on Knox's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Garmon at 704-545-1085 as soon as possible.

Tony Knox was last seen driving a 2000 Mercury Moutaineer, green in color displaying NC registration XYK-8186.
