COPY-Bond reduced for woman accused in deadly drag racing accident

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A judge reduced the bond amount for a woman involved in a drag racing incident which killed three people in southwest Charlotte.

Carlene Atkinson is charged with three counts of murder.  On Thursday, her bond was lowered from $3 million to $900,000.

This includes $300,000 for each of the victims killed in the accident on York Road last month.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Atkinson was drag racing Tyler Stasko when he lost control and hit a car which killed a woman and her daughter.  The third fatal victim was a passenger in Stasko's car.

Stasko is also charged with three counts of murder.
