NEWPORT, SC (WBTV) - A new Wal-Mart on Highway 161 in York County is still in the construction phase, but people are already lining up to fill vacant jobs.
The store expects to hire 400 full and part-time employees starting this summer. The positions are open now and hundreds have already applied.
While the new store won't fill the gap of York County's 14.4% unemployment rate, 400 people will certainly make a dent.
