GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) - Residents of a mobile home park in Gastonia were evacuated late Tuesday night due to rising floodwater.

A creek near the Woodland Acres Mobile Home Park overflowed around 10 p.m.

Fire fighters rescued two families from their homes and a third family left due to the rising water.

The Red Cross was called to assist the families with housing.

WBTV checked the homes Wednesday morning and the water appeared to have receded.  There were no visible signs of damage.
