CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Imagine actually having fun in science class. Imagine singing and dancing in science class. Imagine acing your test in the same class that used to be pretty boring.
William Boyles is a teacher at West Charlotte High School and he has taken a passion for hip-hop music and turned it into a very successful teaching tool.
"Hip-Hop Science" is a CD produced and written by Boyles. The disc contains all the standard lessons of his science class, but everything is set to a hip-hop beat.
The CD has turned his students in aces when it comes to test taking. In fact, 80 percent of his students pass their end of course tests.
Each student knows every word on the disc and Boyles says that cements the knowledge in their minds.
