CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Linda Ostrow was looking to quickly raise some cash to help replace her damaged car. She immediately thought of some valuables around the house.
"It was a mixture of gold and silver," said Ostrow.
She took it to a local jeweler and nearly made a costly mistake.
"He offered me $500 for everything that was on the scale," said Ostrow.
A low-ball offer because mixed in with her gold and silver was a diamond.
