Top StoriesOil & Gas Prices Hit Record HighTruckers Look to Save CashOil and gas have hit record prices. For the first time, oil surged to more than $126 a barrel on Friday while gasoline climbed three cents a gallon. The national average for a gallon of unleaded gas was $3.67 and is a nickel cheaper across North Carolina. In the Charlotte area, the average price is $3.63. Drivers in South Carolina are getting a discount at $3.51 but diesel prices are even higher. In this report, WBTV's David Whisenant explains how truckers are trying to save money.
