A mother of four is dead and police say the father of three of those children killed the woman.

The murder occurred in West Charlotte at Boulevard Homes.

Danasha Sanders was shot and killed inside her apartment on Brooksvale Street.

Police officers found the suspect, Benjamin Wallace, hiding in a room at the Motel 6 in Southwest Charlotte.

Wallace led officers on a violent stand-off before he took his own life.
