Robert Campbell and his fraternity brothers decided to hop a train and as WBTV's Trent Faris tells us it was a very bad decision. And last night four Sigma Nu fraternity brothers decided to become part-time hobos. It was a simple prank that quickly turned serious. After the train passed through the city and the got to the rural area it increased it's speed. The train traveled 65 miles, but somewhere along the way, 20-year-old Robert Chase Campbell fell off and was killed. This is the second tragedy in seven months for the school and most students we talked to today actually didn't know anything had happened until I told them about it. Erica Mabry is a part of Greek life at USC and says the news will be rough for students. "We all do silly little things to have fun," she said, "and to see things turn into such tragedy it's heart breaking." It was fun that took the life of another South Carolina Student. No charges have been filed yet against the three other students. An autopsy is scheduled. |
