Family: Son, Gregory

Education: B.A. in Communication with a minor in Journalism from UNC-Charlotte, graduated from South Mecklenburg H.S.

Career: Sarah joined the WBTV News team in August 2006. While in college, she gained valuable news experience at two Charlotte television stations. Upon graduation, Sarah worked as a writer for NBC News Channel and got her start as a reporter in Charlottesville,VA . There, she had the rare opportunity to help launch two television stations, WCAV and WVAW, and learn from the ground up. Throughout her news career, Sarah has interviewed many interesting people, the most memorable of which was CBS Evening news anchor, Katie Couric.

Honors: A member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

Hobbies: Traveling, visiting family in Puerto Rico, reading, working out and spending time with her son.
