Remembering Brandon Elam

A young man who touched our hearts at WBTV is gaining another honor.

This fall, Brandon Elam lost his three-year fight against cancer.

Prior to his death, Elam's fellow classmates and teachers honored him during a football game at Porter Ridge High School.

The football team ran a play in which Elam designed and he was flown to the game in a helicopter.

This weekend, Hometown Heroes will dedicate the Mint Hill Athletic Field in honor of Brandon Elam.
