One race car driver is taking the fight for green technology to the track.
Leilani Munter is the fourth woman in history to race in the Indy Pro Series.
She got her start in 2001 racing stock cars. Munter has a passion for racing and a passion for the environment.
During Wednesday's 5:30 p.m. newscast, Munter joined WBTV Anchor Tonia Bendickson outside our Center City studio at Trade and Tryon Streets in Charlotte.
Munter is trying to create more awareness about the importance of recycling and reducing carbon emissions.
