CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police say two men attempted to rob a Charlotte man of his cell phone and during the robbery he was shot in the chest, paralyzing him.
The shooting happened Thursday night on Dove Tree Lane in north Charlotte.
Police tell WBTV two gunmen demanded a man's cell phone, then shot the man in the chest. The bullet went through his chest and injured his spine
Police say the victim is paralyzed in the lower half of his body.
The robbers got away in a silver sedan, according to police and officers spent the night searching the area near North Tryon for the shooters.
