
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Officials say someone intentional set fire to a home in northwest Charlotte early Tuesday morning.
The fire was in a single-family home at 3316 Avalon Avenue and was reported around 1 a.m.
When firefighters with the Charlotte Fire Department arrived, the house was engulfed with flames.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about 10 minutes an official said.
The fire caused about $30,000 in damage and no one was injured by the fire.
According to a police report, someone purposefully started the fire and it has been classified as an arson.
Fires were also reported at the house on Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and on Feb. 9 at 1:05 a.m.
The home was in the process of being demolished.
