
UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Union County Deputy Fire Marshal was cited with misdemeanor death by vehicle in a wreck that killed a 63-year-old Marshville woman.
The accident happened on Austin Grove Church Road around 11 a.m. Friday.
The crash involved a minivan and a pickup assigned to the Union County Fire Marshal's Office.
Dura Mae Hall, 63, was pinned inside the minivan. She was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center and died as a result of her injuries.
The pick-up truck was driven by Jon Williams and Assistant Fire Marshal Wyatte McBryde was a passenger in the truck. Both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to Trooper D.E. (Woody) Altman said Williams crossed left of the center line and struck Hall's mini-van head-on.
