WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC-2 charged in connection with a July murder

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police have arrested two people in connection with a murder which happened in July.
The CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Demarius Derron Massey and Treshina Monique Everett for the murder of Kelvin Bell.
Bell was shot and killed on July 30 inside an apartment in east Charlotte on Twisted Oaks Road.
Massey and Everet have been charged with murder. Massey was arrested and taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail. Everett was already in jail for an unrelated charge.
