
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police in Charlotte have made an arrest in the shooting death of a man at a south Charlotte hotel Saturday night.
Police say 29-year-old Cody Barazon Jefferies was shot just after 9 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel along the 4800 block of South Tryon Street.
Officers responded to a 911 call for service for a shooting in the parking lot, when they found Jefferies' body lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead shortly after emergency crews arrived.
They've charged 23-year-old Kavron Hart in the murder.
Police tell us they found evidence at Hart's home and in his vehicle linking him to the crime.
Saturday night, police said Jefferies was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the hotel. Now they say that altercation was sparked by an argument between Jefferies and his girlfriend.
