
ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The tough economy has meant record enrollment at local community colleges.
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has a campus in Salisbury and a campus in Concord.
This semester, the school has a total of more 7,000 students enrolled in a variety of classes.
The student body is also varied, including students from all age ranges.
Coming up tonight on WBTV News starting at 5, we'll look at what's driving the increased enrollment and find out what it's like to go back to school at age 44.
