STALLINGS, NC (WBTV) - Sunday night was like most others in the quiet town of Stallings. Until police officers got a call to assist with a man who'd been electrocuted.
Officers Ivey and Walden got to the AEP plant first and found Nelson Pozo on the ground with no pulse and not breathing.
The Officers used an Automated External Defibrillator to shock Pozo. The AED started Pozo's heart again and CPR managed until paramedics arrived.
Pozo is recovering at Presbyterian in Charlotte and officers say he doesn't remember the incident.
He owes his life to two men just doing their jobs.
