WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC-1,500 without power in NE Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - More than 1,500 people were without power in Charlotte's University City area Monday afternoon.
A power pole near the Target store on University City Boulevard was damaged which caused the outage.
Traffic on University City Boulevard at Chancellor Park was affected during the evening rush hour.
Power was restored in about an hour.
No one was injured as a result of the accident.
