ANSON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The Anson County Sheriff's Office has arrested more people in connection with a Charlotte woman who was shot several times.
Tempest Reese of Charlotte was found on Springer Road in Anson County on September 23rd.
Three days later, authorities arrested and charged Lucius Little of Charlotte.
On October 2nd, they arrested Keevin Baucom of Charlotte. Baucom was charged with attempted murder and placed in the Anson County Jail under $1,000,000 bond.
The sheriff said investigators think Baucom was the actual shooter in the incident.
Based on information provided by the sheriff's Office and working with the US Marshall's Office, authorities in New York arrested two more suspects.
They are Jamel Wilson and Larcynthia Roshell Gainey, both of Charlotte.
They are charged with attempted first-degree murder and are in custody in New York awaiting extradition back to Anson County.
The sheriff said their intention was to bring the victim some place far away from Charlotte and murder her.
The victim is expected to recover.
