UNC Charlotte official charged with embezzlement

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The assistant dean of students at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) is facing multiple embezzlement charges.

Ashley Postell was arrested by a UNCC campus police officer on Tuesday. 

She was charged with six counts of embezzlement according to a statement released by the university on Wednesday.

Postell is responsible for assisting the activities and sororities and fraternities on campus.

The University suspended Postell from her job on June 30.
