Project PINK provides free mammograms to uninsured women

WBTV is ON YOUR SIDE with an important health care initiative. We are partnering with Charlotte Radiology and Levine Cancer Institute: Project PINK to provide uninsured women 40 and older with a free mammogram screening.

The event will be held at WBTV on Friday, May 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is required for the screening. The first 40 eligible women will be screened. We will not be able to take walk-ins on the day of the event. Call Levine Cancer Institute at 980-442-2509 to register.

Applicants who cannot be screened on the 6th will be eligible to be screened at other Project PINK events.

Levine Cancer Institute: Project PINK ensures that participants are taken care of should an issue be identified. Additional funds are raised to support costs for diagnostic exams and biopsy if necessary.

The following breast care is funded through this program:

  • Annual screening mammogram exam (on event day)
  • One diagnostic follow-up exam, if recommended
  • Biopsy*, if needed
