    Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board (CMS) voted on new leadership at its Tuesday night board meeting.  Mary McCary was re-elected as chairperson.  This is her fifth year being selected to lead the board.  She says she will be more intentional about her role this time around. "We're going to really pay attention to what our vision our mission."

    Briggs, the dog York County police found with his tongue cut off and tied to a tree, passed away Tuesday night.  Noah's Arks Rescue posted an update on Briggs stating he had become septic and was unable to keep down any food or water from the previous day.

    There’s been a rash of counterfeit cash being passed around in Rock Hill. Rock Hill Police say within the last two weeks, 12 cases of counterfeit bills being passed have been reported. Because of video surveillance, they know that these cases are unrelated.
