CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan is filing a defamation lawsuit against Elizabeth Dole's campaign after Dole ran an ad accusing Hagan of being quote "godless."
Hagan is also hitting back with her own ad.
"I believe in God. I taught Sunday School. My faith guides my life," said Hagan.
Meanwhile, Dole's campaign insists it won't pull the ad, despite the legal action from Hagan's campaign.
