CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – "I know I or you don't want to be standing under it when it comes all the way down," says Tim Reid looking at the problem tree.

The dead tree is outside Reid's fence line. He says since July he's been trying to get his homeowner's association to cut it down. It's gotten worse over time, some of the large branches are now hanging by a thread.

"I mean it's hanging 15 feet in my yard now, a giant chunk of it! Another giant chunk is hanging up here, it's going to hit somebody in the head if anybody happens to be out here!," Tim exclaims.

Because of that Tim and his wife barely used their backyard this summer. What should have been a simple request to both Lynton Place Homeowner's Association and the company it uses to manage the subdivision, William Douglas Property Management, Reid says became a classic case of the runaround.

"One day I'm cruising around the Internet and saw See, Click, Fix and said I'm going to give this a try. I'm going see it, I'm going click it, I'm going to see if they can help me fix it," says Reid.

After multiple voicemails and emails were sent, we finally caught up with the Lynton Place Homeowner's Association board president. He declined our on-camera interview request, but stated they've only "recently" became aware of the problem and after visiting Mr. Reid's property agree the tree needs to come down.

We received further confirmation from William Douglas in an email which reads: "The Board has responded that they have bids for the tree removal and will approve one of those at our meeting tomorrow night.  The tree will be removed immediately."

"I notified the (management company) in July. And I waited and I waited and I waited and I waited and I waited and I waited!," says Reid.

But now it finally sounds like Tim Reid's problem will be solved.

See, Click, Fix is going to be there every step of the way to make sure that tree gets removed.
