2 charged with attempted first-degree murder in Gastonia

GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) - Police have charged two men with attempted first-degree murder following the beating and stabbing of a Gastonia man.

According to police, David Scott Green was brutally assaulted on Sunday at a home on Cedar Avenue.

Steven Mincey, 29 and Dustin Stroupe, 25, have been charged with attempted first-degree murder. 

Both being held at the Gaston County Jail under a $500,000 bond. 

In addition, Jerry Wayne Pannell, 50, and Brandon Lamar Stroupe, 28, have been charged with assault. 

They are being held in jail under a $250,000 bond.
