NC vehicle dealers to get easier to read temporary tags

Posted: Updated:

RALEIGH, NC (WBTV) - Vehicle dealers in North Carolina will soon be getting new, easier to read temporary 30-day tags.

According to the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles, the new 30-day temporary tags will have a larger expiration date written in red marker.

This will allow law enforcement officers to read them easily.

The tags are also designed to make it harder to copy or deface.

The new tags will be distributed to dealers within the next week and they will start using them once their supply of the old tags runs out.
