DURHAM, NC (WRAL) - A man from Durham who was fatally stabbed in August also had his penis cut off after he died, according to an autopsy report obtained by WRAL-TV.
WRAL reported that Ron Fetherson, 53, was found dead from stab wounds in his Durham apartment on Aug. 30.
Fetherson was stabbed five times, WRAL, with a fatal would at his neck that caused him to bleed to death.
After he was dead, the suspect who stabbed him cut off his penis, the autopsy report says, WRAL reported. Durham police recovered the detached appendage from the crime scene and gave it to the state medical examiner’s office, WRAL reported.
Fetherson was described to WRAL by people who knew him as a “friendly man” who was a veteran and loved his dog.
WRAL reported that no one has been charged and that police have no provided any details in the investigation.
