CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Andrea Kaupp is a mother of two who tried baby yoga with her older daughter and fell in love with it as a way to sooth her fussy little girl.
"It worked and I was, like, this is amazing and I just really enjoyed it," Kaupp said.
She decided to train with the creator of the "Itsy Bitsy Yoga" program and now she teaches what she's learned to other moms, dads and babies.
The poses have similar names to what an adult yoga class would offer but mom and dad help the baby into the poses. The basic movements help develop motor skills and true believers say it can even help cure gassy babies or little ones with fussy tummies.
The classes are offered at the Marion Diehl Recreation Center in Charlotte on Wednesdays. The six week session costs $60. Click the link above for more information.
