POMARIA, S.C. (AP) - Officials have released the names of two South Carolina residents killed in a wreck in Fairfield County earlier this week.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported that Fairfield County Coroner Barkley Ramsey said two Chester residents died in the collision Monday afternoon with a tractor trailer near Pomaria.
Twenty-one-year-old Tammy Marie Pelkey and 17-year-old Anthony Chad Willford died in the wreck.
The truck driver was not hurt. Pelkey's husband, Dustin Lee Pelkey, was flown to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
Ramsey says the victims' car apparently ran a stop sign at state Highway 215.
Highway Patrol Cpl. Bryan McDougald says the wreck is still under investigation.
