GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) - A woman accused of taking her one-and-a-half-year-old stepson on a drunken police chase made her first court appearance Thursday.
Sherry Howard was in Gaston County Court earlier this afternoon facing charges ranging from child abuse to resisting arrest.
Her bond was set at $25,000.
Police say Howard ran from officers at speeds topping 90-miles-an-hour Wednesday before crashing through a chain link fence.
The child was in the car, but not hurt.
