Requests are being handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are grateful for your patience during this busy time.
For this winter season, WBTV is automating its closing system so that organizations can log on to a web page and post their closings and/or call in to an automated phone system.
We will still offer the option of organizations to call in and speak with someone personally, but we are also offering these two new automated methods so that organizations can report info more quickly!
If you are interested in using these new, easy ways of reporting your closing info, please email closings@wbtv.com. You will be contacted about how you can go about using the new easy-to-use system. No phone calls, please!

As a reminder about how our system generally works, here is a recap:
Everyone MUST have a WBTV Weather Code for posting closings and/or delays due to inclement weather. These codes should be set up in advance, so you have the code ready to use when you need it. We do not accept weather closings or delays via email, fax or web comment.
If you need a WBTV Weather Code, please email closings@wbtv.com. Please note: Weather codes are assigned to organizations that have a minimum of 50 employees, clients, students, etc. Please submit your organization name (with a limit of 24 characters and spaces), county, full address, contact (one name), contact phone (one number), email address (one address) and website.
Please be patient during busy times. Your code will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, once we receive all the necessary information.
All organizations with existing codes should continue to use them.
All you need to do is call 704-374-3691 to report your closing or delay. Have your code ready before you call. It will be the first thing we ask for.
