CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Just as we were shaking off Wednesday’s rain, along with snow and ice in the mountains, another frontal boundary is blasting into the region overnight and bringing along with it another round of rain.
There could be pockets of heavy rain and even a few rumbles of thunder through the morning hours on Thursday. The rain possibility could prove to be a bit disruptive for the morning commute on Thursday.
At this point, the First Alert has only been issued for the morning. After that, it won’t necessarily be a nice day but the showers should be more spotty for the second half of the day. Highs will likely stay in the low 50s. However, if the cold air wedge does manage to break down, we could possibly warm up late in the day.
Friday and Saturday will remain unsettled. Highs will near 50 both days and the rain chance continues. We will finally see a pattern shift on Sunday. That will bring a chance for rain in the morning. Then we expect to dry out for the afternoon. It could turn out to be a pretty nice day with highs in the low 70s!
