One injured in west Charlotte club shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - One person was injured in a shooting at a west Charlotte club early Monday morning.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the shooting happened just before 3:45 a.m. at Club Nikki’s on Little Rock Road. A disturbance reportedly started inside the club and led to a shootout in the parking lot.

Two people were involved, police say. One man went to Carolinas Medical Center-Main with minor injuries.

“At this time it is not clear if the individual who was shot was directly involved in the disturbances or was a bystander,” police say.

CMPD is also investigating a nearby homicide that is related. In that case, a 35-year-old man from New York was shot and later found dead across the street from the club.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Detectives are investigating. Check back for updates.
