CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A Lincoln County man who was initially reported as missing, is now wanted on outstanding charges.

Lincoln County deputies say Justin Wayne Anthony, 33, ran from a home on J. Rhyne Reep Road when he learned emergency medical personnel was coming to check on him because of a fall.

Officials say deputies checked the area but was unable to locate Anthony.

On Tuesday, a detective received a report that Anthony had been seen at a local retail store, according to a release from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives reviewed security cameras and confirmed the person was Anthony.

After further investigation, detectives spoke with Anthony’s girlfriend who admitted he ran away from the home when EMS was called because of outstanding charges, according to the release. Officials say the orders for arrest are for failing to appear in court on a driving while license revoked charge.

Anthony was cleared as a missing person and is now considered wanted. Officials say additional charges are possible in this case.
