Caleb Stone-Carrawell ready to blaze his own path at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - His father went to Duke. His best friend is going to Duke next year. But Caleb Stone-Carrawell is going against the trend and heading to Charlotte.

“You don’t always have to go to the blue blood schools,” said Caleb Stone-Carrawell. “For me, it’s just the right fit.”

At 6 foot 7, Caleb is a long, athletic guard that can score and players like that just don’t fall in your lap everyday.

He currently averages 16 point per game for Cox Mill and the Chargers are currently 20-1. They are the #1 3A team in the state of North Carolina.

Caleb’s father is former Duke All-American Chris Carrawell. Chris is currently an assistant coach with the Blue Devils.

Caleb’s best friend on Cox Mill’s team is Wendell Moore. Moore is a McDonald’s All-American and will be going to Duke next basketball season.

2005 was the last time the Charlotte 49ers went to the NCAA Tournament and what a way to leave a legacy than to help the Niners get back to national prominence. That is the ultimate goal.
